A Message From Chief John Longchap

It is my honor to say a few words about Community Wellness Week. I believe community wellness should be an objective for every community. The prosperity of a nation depends on health and well-being of its people. The healthier the people are in mind, body and spirit, the more they can accomplish.

However, there are challenges that attempt to disrupt the well-being of a community. And, the wellness week will address some of these issues. This is why it is so important that one participates and learns from the workshops planned.

As families and individuals, we face different issues on a daily basis. They may be health related or it could be a family issue or a social one. In spite of such challenges, there is always a way to overcome them and many of our people can help in some way. The organizers for this week have organized professional people that can help. I encourage you to speak to them or come support others in the workshops.

I wish also to acknowledge the participants of the wellness journey and welcome them home. We are proud of you and happy to see you back with us in our community. I am sure your children, family and friends are happy as well. You have journeyed the way our grandparents have and I hope your experience will serve as lasting memory.

I know you feel physically healthy now and I hope you will continue w be physically active. I congratulate all of you and I wish good health, success in your dreams and with your families.

God bless you all!
Chief John Longchap
