Call For Tenders - CRA Justice Facilities

CREE REGIONAL AUTHORITY (CRA), owner, is requesting bids for the construction of six new buildings each located in one of the different communities identified above.

The plans, specifications, contract documents and other information may be obtained from the office of Anicet Tremblay and Serge Harvey, Architects, at 631 chemin du Pont Taché Nord, Alma (Quebec) G8B 6T4 (416-668-3384) as of April 8th with a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 for each project profile.

The bids (original and two copies) in sealed envelopes addressed to the owner shall be delivered separately for each of the projects at 277 DUKE STREET, MONTREAL (QUEBEC) H3C 2M2 to the attention of MR. NORMAL GULL, DIRECTOR CAPIRAL WORKS AND SERVICES no later than Thursday, May 7th, at 3 P.M.

The bidders must submit their bids separately for one, several or all projects identified below, as they wish, as each project is subject to a separate bid.

Each bid will be examined separately according to the criteria set out by the owner, after the opening that will be held publically at the same place, same day and at the same time.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified cheque in the amount that is equivalent to 10% of the value of the bid made payable to the owner, or by a bid bond in the same amount and valid for a period of sixty (60) days from the date on which the bid is opened. This bid bond shall be exchanged at the signing of the contract for performance security and security for obligations with respect to wages and services, each bond corresponding to 50% of the amount of the contract.

Only those companies having their place of business in the province of Quebec and having the required permits and licenses required for this work shall be allowed to submit bids.

The bidding firms are responsible for the selection of sub-contractors, in terms of their solvency and in terms of the bid content, and must inform them of the conditions that they intend to impose upon them and ensure that they hold the required permits and licenses.

The owner is not obligated to accept the lowest bid or any other bid received.
