Chief Referendum Officer of the Grand Council of the Crees (Eeyou Istchee) Declares the Finality of Result of the Cree Referendum Completed on October 14, 2007

Nemaska (Eeyou Istchee): Please be advised that, according to the Rules Respecting the Referendum for Approving the Agreement Concerning a New Relationship between the Government of Canada and the Cree of Eeyou Istchee, the eligible voters had five (5) days from the announcement of the results on October 14th, 2007, that is to say until October 19th, 2007, to request, upon signature of 15 of their number, a recount of the referendum results, and that I received no such recount request within the time prescribed or otherwise.

Please also be advised that, according to these same rules, the eligible voters had fifteen (15) days from the announcement of the results on October 14th, 2007, that is to say until October 29th, 2007, to request, upon signature of 15 of their number, a review of the referendum results, and that I received no such review request within the time prescribed or otherwise.

Therefore, I deem these results to be final.
